“People do not expect to find chastity in a brothel. So why do they expect to find honesty and compassion in government, a collection of institutions whose modus operandi consists of lying, cheating, stealing and, if necessary, killing those who resist? “~ HL Mencken
Political power, let us call it government, can only be achieved if the few who have this power convince the people in general, let us call them subjects, to voluntarily give consent to be governed. By creating elections, the government essentially asserts power by consent, as voting in this flawed and corrupt system means accepting this system and accepting the result. This acceptance, though implied, is meant to serve as the law of the land, and why would it not, given that the people line up in millions to choose their own masters? If the people can be fooled into believing that such a farce is the basis of their freedom, then they can be controlled and controlled quite easily.
Like anyone who can even see a minority of intelligence left, this whole lineup is based on lies, propaganda and deception, but the people continue to participate in this ridiculous process throughout their lives; constantly expecting a better result. This is true for those who vote and many who do not. Most people simply accept the system because of indoctrination and a lifetime of brainwashing. This, of course, is the definition of insanity, and as long as the masses remain in this state of confusion and obedience, public insanity will be the driving force for the government’s success in acquiring and retaining power over them.
The sinister nature of the masses’ lack of understanding of freedom is our biggest problem. This ignorance of freedom has been evident since the so-called “founders” created this centrally controlled nation state and their own set of rules for the people to live by at the very secret constitutional convention. This is amazing. There has been a steady decline in what partial freedom existed in the past, but to jump forward to today, all that can be said is so little if there is any freedom now. The decimation of the freedom of the individual has been carried out step by step, but the continuous attack on the natural rights of the Americans has been relentless in its march against totalitarianism, which is now consuming this country. This was all planned a long time ago.
Now we are facing a total crushing of all freedom in the hands of the state, and few have been able to understand the absolutely urgent situation, as most are still of the belief that everything will be fine and we will soon turn back to normal amount of tyranny that has escalated for decades in a row without resistance. For all those who take this uninformed and absurd attitude, perhaps you should consider just some of the things that hp right in front of your eyes, instead of “hoping” that everything will be magically remedied.
