The first two Champions League quarter-finalists are confirmed on Tuesday as Juventus host Porto and Sevilla travel to Borussia Dortmund to get two ties separated by a goal.
Federico Chiesa’s late goal halved Juventus’ deficit in first leg at Porto and the Perhs make them favorites to reach the last eight for the fifth time in seven years. Borussia Dortmund expect to join them after overcoming an early deficit to win 3-2 away to Sevilla, and Erling Haaland further grew his reputation on the European stage with a unique shine.

Juventus vs. Postage
Time: Tuesday, 15:00 ET (Paramount +)
Juventus -225; Draw +340; Porto +650 (odds via William Hill Sportsbook)
The round takes: Juve have won nine of their last 10 home games in all competitions (a draw) and have kept a clean sheet in six games. When Alvaro Morata scored brace in their last win vs Lazio and Cristiano Ronaldo rested, I expect Juve to move on. Choice: Juventus 2, Porto 0 (Juventus move 3-2)
Romanos tag: Juventus are betting everything on the Champions League and can not miss this opportunity. The team gets Leonardo Bonucci, Juan Cuadrado and Alvaro Morata back. Choice: Juventus 2, Porto 0 (Juventus move 3-2)
Echegaray takes: Andrea Pirlo knows – as Serie A looks more and more likely at Inter – that the Champions League is his only lifeline this season. Losing in the last 16 would be disastrous, especially for Cristiano Ronaldo and what it means for his future. I think Porto will fight to maintain a focused Juve and Ronaldo, who did not play a full game in their win against Lazio last weekend, will benefit. Federico Chiesa also scores in this one. Choice: Juventus 2, Porto 0 (Juventus move 3-2)
West takes: At home with the extra boost of Giorgio Chiellini back in training and just needing one goal? I take with CR7 and Juventus. I do not think it will be beautiful, but I think the home team will get the job done with a narrow win. Choice: Juventus 1, Porto 0 (Juventus move 2-2 on an uninterrupted goal)
Johnson’s tag: Away goals in Portugal will be crucial for the Italians as they get the job done at home and advance to the quarter-finals. Juve advance. Choice: Juventus 1, Porto 0 (Juventus move 2-2 on an uninterrupted goal)
Benge takes: This will really not be easy at all for Juve, who signed Cristiano Ronaldo to get them over the line in the Champions League and instead have fallen far behind in the chase package. Federico Chiesa was the first player other than CR7 to score a knockout goal for Bianconeri in three years, and if Ronaldo does not come up big, I would be tempted to draw against Porto. Still, he should have almost enough in mind to lift a regular team to the final eight. Choice: Juventus 2, Porto 0 (overall 3-2)
Gonzalez takes: After laying an egg in the first stage, Juventus came through again through Cristiano Ronaldo, who scores twice to see the old lady through. Choice: Juventus 2, Porto 0 (Juventus move 3-2)
Herrera takes: Porto delivered a rebellion in the first leg with two goals, but Juventus were able to cut the lead in the twisted minutes. Expect Juventus to be motivated by the loss of the home advantage in tow. Choice: Juventus 2, Porto 0 (Juventus move 3-2)
Goodmans tag: Despite a poor performance from everyone from manager Andrea Pirlo to star Cristiano Ronaldo at first, Juventus remain comfortably in a draw. Even an average performance should be more than enough to see them through this time against a Porto page coming from their vintage versions. Choice: Juventus 2, Porto 0 (Juventus move 3-2)

Borussia Dortmund vs. Seville
Time: Tuesday, 15:00 ET (Paramount +)
Borussia Dortmund +111; Draw +270; Sevilla +225 (odds via William Hill Sportsbook)
Borussia Dortmund -0.5
The round takes: Dortmund are unbeaten in their last seven UCL home games (two draws) – that series continues. Election: Borussia Dortmund 2, Sevilla 1 (Borussia Dortmund advances 5-3 overall)
Romanos tag: Erling Haaland dominates in the Champions League and he will be the difference again. Sevilla will put their heart into it, but BVB are in good shape. Election: Borussia Dortmund 2, Sevilla 1 (Borussia Dortmund advances 5-3 overall)
Echegaray takes: This is so hard to figure out, and yes, I’m going on a full limb here and could possibly be wrong in so many ways. But I just think Sevilla – which is getting healthier – will change a few things in this game and benefit from some important damage. This depends on Erling Haaland and his fitness as well as Rhael Guerreiro, who is doubtful about this game. No Jadon Sancho either? I feel that Sevilla will go completely out. But I can already feel this one biting me in the ass. Election: Borussia Dortmund 1, Sevilla 3 (Sevilla advance 5-4 overall)
West takes: This one is incredibly hard to call. Both Dortmund and Sevilla have suffered demoralizing losses over the weekend and it is impossible to say which version of the pages will be shown on Tuesday. I want to hang my hat on Erling Haaland and the added advantage of three away goals, which Dortmund managed in the first draw. Election: Borussia Dortmund 2, Sevilla 1 (Borussia Dortmund advances 5-3 overall)
Johnson’s tag: The Spaniards are losing form at the worst possible time, as the Copa del Rey is now gone and the defense far from solid. The Germans have recently turned a corner and it will continue with a victory to reach the quarters. Dortmund goes through. Election: Borussia Dortmund 2, Sevilla 1 (Borussia Dortmund advances 5-3 overall)
Benge takes: Sevilla have faltered quite markedly since the first leg loss to Dortmund, who looked to have their number with explosive counters led by Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland. Having the latter (Sancho is out with a thigh problem), Marco Reus and so many other attacking talents in the mix means you have to assume Dortmund will get goals. As for Sevilla, I’m not sure they have kicked out their addiction to making mediocre chances. Election: Borussia Dortmund 2, Sevilla 1 (Borussia Dortmund advances 5-3 overall)
Gonzalez takes: Dortmund get some key players in time, put three past Sevilla again and move on without much worry. Election: Borussia Dortmund 3, Sevilla 1 (Borussia Dortmund advances 6-3 overall)
Herrera takes: An exciting first leg between the sides will create an interesting second leg, but an in-form Erling Haaland will be the difference in this. Election: Borussia Dortmund 3, Sevilla 1 (Borussia Dortmund advances 6-3 overall)
Goodmans tag: Two teams not playing very well at the moment means that this match will be a balm for anyone no matter what happens. Dortmund should play an open style no matter what, but Sevilla probably do not have the explosiveness to quote Dortmund’s defensive vulnerability. Election: Borussia Dortmund 2, Sevilla 1 (Borussia Dortmund advances 5-3 overall)
