Australia has announced the cessation of national services for non-official services as the number of coronavirus cases in the country is rapidly increasing.
Clubs, pubs, gyms, theaters and places of worship will be closed from noon on March 23, and restaurants and cafes will have to move only to takeaway.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the restrictions following a meeting of the national government.
The number of cases in Australia has risen sharply in recent days, reaching 1315.
New South Wales (New South Wales), where Sydney resides, is the most affected state with 533 confirmed cases. In Victoria, the capital of which is Melbourne, 296 cases, in Queensland – 259.
As a result of the new measures, many businesses will be closed, but supermarkets, gas stations, pharmacies and home delivery services will continue to operate.
Prime Minister Morrison has said he wants to keep schools open, but parents will be able to keep children at home if they want.
He said: “I don’t want our kids to lose a whole year of learning.”

Some states, including Victoria, have signaled they want to close schools.
So far, seven people have died from Covid-19 across Australia.
The new restrictions came after March 21 on the beaches of Sydney, including Bondi, gathered large crowds of people who violated welfare.
Prime Minister Morrison said the federal and state governments had decided to act because Australians were not following the recommendations.
However, the Prime Minister added: “We don’t set locks that put people in and place them in homes.
“This is not a measure that is being considered at the moment.”
Chief physician Brendan Murphy said people, especially the young, should understand that they need to live “completely differently” and stop going outside to control the virus.
Prime Minister Morrison also announced new stimulus measures to boost the country’s economy.
South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory will close their borders on Tuesday. Under the new rules, anyone arriving will be forced to isolate themselves for 14 days.
The island nation of Tasmania has already imposed similar travel restrictions.
The Australian Football League has suspended its 2020 season, and matches have not taken place until at least 31 May. The women’s league is also discontinued. On the contrary, the National Rugby League states that it will continue matches as planned.
