President Donald Trump has underestimated the importance of his former campaign aide, George Papadopoulos, who was accused in the Russian investigation.
The president said his former foreign policy adviser, George Papadopoulos, was a “low-level volunteer” and a “liar.”
However, Donald Trump once called George Papadopoulos an “excellent man.”
George Papadopoulos, 30, pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russia.

Two other former aides have been charged as part of an investigation into alleged Russian interference in the US election.
Former campaign chief Paul Manafort and Rick Gates appeared in court on October 30 to deny charges, including money laundering.
In his October 31 tweets, President Trump tried to deflect control of the Democratic Party or his proposals for tax reform.
The president wrote on Twitter: “Fake news works overtime. Like Paul Manaforts [sic] the lawyer said there was “no secret agreement” and the events took place long before he came to the campaign.
However, the prosecution alleges that Paul Manafort and Rick Gates conspired with financial crimes from 2006-17, which includes the period in the summer when Manafort served as manager of Trump’s campaign.
The president’s tweets continue: “Few people knew the young low-level volunteer named George, who had already proven himself a liar. Check out DEMS! ”
George Papadopoulos appeared in a photo that Donald Trump posted on Twitter in March 2016 as he hosted a national security meeting with his foreign policy team.
