Scott Stockart, a North Dakota man who is said to have planned to kidnap one of President Barack Obama’s two domestic dogs, has been arrested in Washington.
Officials say 49-year-old Scott D. Stockert planned to grab one of the dogs, Bo or Sunny.
Police in Washington found weapons in Scott Stockart’s car, including a rifle, shotgun and machete.
Agents say the man made several strange demands during his arrest, including intending to run for president.
He also said he was the son of former President John F. Kennedy and actress Marilyn Monroe, according to court documents.
Scott Stokert has been charged with violating the District of Columbia’s gun laws.
The first family acquired Bo in 2009 with Sunny, referred to by the family as Bo’s “little sister” after 2013.
