Two South African men renting the house where athlete Oscar Pistorius shot his girlfriend Rieva Steenkamp were filmed taking a “bizarre” tour of the property.
David Scott, 33, and Cagiso Mocoape, 23, rented the house in Pretoria after it was sold by Oscar Pistorius to cover his legal bills.
In the video, the two business partners promise to organize parties there, saying: “Oscar built this house to entertain.”
David Scott also said they intended to decorate the house “in honor of what happened here.”
Oscar Pistori family spokesman Anneliese Burgess described the footage as “bizarre” to the South African press.
David Scott and Cagiso Mocoape show the South African TV channel Netwerk24 around the house. A version of the video is still on the English language website of the network.
While apparently drinking a can of beer, David Scott told the channel: “This is definitely an artist’s house.”
During the video, Dwid Scott opens the toilet door, through which Rieva Steenkamp was shot four times to show where she died.
While in the bathroom, Kagiso Mokoape says: “I feel bad for Riva’s parents.”
The bathroom has since been renovated.
An online survey from the South African website VOL found that readers were closely divided on whether it would be unpleasant to have a party in the house.
Later this week, the South African Parole Board is due to decide whether to release Oscar Pistorius under house arrest.
The Paralympic champion was convicted of manslaughter last year but acquitted.
An appeal against the acquittal of the double amputated on murder charges will be heard next month.
Oscar Pistorius insists that he accepted Rieva Steenkamp as an intruder.
