Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s ex-girlfriend Josie Harris sued him for lying in an interview with Katie Kurik before his fight with Manny Pacquiao.
Josie Harris is seeking more than $ 20 million in compensation for Floyd Mayweather, repeatedly knowingly making false allegations. TMZ Sports reports.
In an interview with Katie Kurik, Floyd Mayweather was asked about the incident with Josie Harris in 2010, in which he was accused of a vicious attack on her.
Floyd Mayweather later pleaded guilty to reduced charges for a violation that led to a 90-day prison sentence.
He told a very different story than what was stated in the arrest report.
“Did I kick, knock and beat someone?” No, that didn’t happen “ Floyd Mayweather told Katie Kurik.
“I look you in the face and say,< Не, това не се случи >>. Did I restrict a woman who was on drugs? Yes, I did it. So if they say it’s domestic violence, you know what? I’m guilty. It’s my fault I stopped someone. ”
Josie Harris’s lawyer says in the suit that Floyd Mayweather deliberately lied in his interview with Katie Kurik to protect his image and help promote his fight with Manny Pacquiao.
Floyd Mayweather accused Josie Harris of being a drug and claimed that he had just stopped her when this was not at all what Harris thought had happened.
The real story, according to Josie Harris, is that Floyd Mayweather is jealous that he is in a relationship with a new man, NBA player CJ Watson.
He took Josie Harris’ cell phone and later attacked her at her home. Floyd Mayweather paid for the home and Josie Harris and their three children live there.
“Did he beat me to the end?” No, but I had bruises on my body and injuries [a] a concussion because the blows were in the back of my neck. I believe it was planned to do that … because the bruises are not visible. “ Josie Harris said in an interview with Yahoo in 2013.
Floyd Mayweather’s own son, who helped save his mother, even called his father a “coward” for beating Josie Harris.
This was not the first incident between domestic violence between them; Josie Harris accused Floyd Mayweather of killing her in 2005, but she later dropped the charges and admitted she was lying.
Most recently, in 2013, Josie Harris published photo evidence that she and Floyd Mayweather were still sleeping together. Since last year, she still supported Floyd Mayweather and even fought with one of her other ex-girlfriends.
Meanwhile, Josie Harris distances herself from Floyd Mayweather and his controlling ways and even publishes a book about their history of dysfunctional relationships.
Josie Harris even showed up to comment on the trial with an Instagram post on her heart and the caption “I’m not sorry.”
